I graduated from Monash University in 2005 and commenced postgraduate training at Monash Health in many areas of medicine including paediatrics, emergency medicine, general surgery and intensive care medicine.  After gaining significant experience in women’s health care, I commenced specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009.

As a generalist in my speciality area, I enjoy being able to care for women across the entire lifespan, from adolescence right through and beyond menopause. I have training in both high and low risk pregnancy care, vaginal birth after caesarean section, twin pregnancy, instrumental deliveries and caesarean sections when required or requested.  

My philosophy very much favours natural childbirth, however I have the skills to expertly manage any pregnancy complication or emergency that may arise.

My caring and compassionate bedside manner is greatly appreciated by my patients, especially those experiencing early pregnancy complications. I recognise that every birth is unique, and I strive to provide individualised, holistic, women centred care.

I have a public appointment at Monash Health where in addition to my clinical work I am a RANZCOG training supervisor, participate in the mentor program for medical students and have been an examiner for Monash University for the last 4 years. I have a particular interest in perineal trauma after childbirth and am the obstetric lead at Dandenong Hospital for an Australian wide project looking to reduce severe trauma from childbirth.  

Having 2 young children of my own, I very much remember the excitement and joy of pregnancy. I am honoured to be able to care for and support my patients on their unique journey to parenthood.
